and celebrate scholars.
Speaker: Dr. Lourdes Ferrer, author of Voices: African American and Hispanic Students’ Perceptions Regarding the Academic Achievement Gap, Siéntese en la Silla del Conductor and Hispanic Parental Involvement.
Mayor Kaptain will also speak about Elgin’s Education Initiative.
